They, who spread security, will gain trust for smart homes and smart buildings
Recent studies have shown that the almost 50 percent of households are interested in implementing smart solutions for their houses, the one main concern remains - Security. This being identified by KNX Association couple of years ago, the technical developments of the KNX standard were at its peak, resulting a ground-breaking change for the whole industry for smart homes and buildings – The release of the world’s most secure technology, “KNX Secure”.
The KNX Secure Roadshow 2018 welcomed more than 1200 participants
After its release it was just a matter of days that several countries demanded to receive the latest news about KNX Secure, which ultimately led to the organising of the 2018 “KNX Secure Roadshow”.
The KNX Secure Roadshow was held from the 1st of September till the 30th of November, with stops in Latin America, Europe, as well as Africa, Asia and Australia. The KNX Secure Roadshow was the first and only event of its kind, which does look justifiably beyond the high demand for smart home solutions. More than 1000 visitors at over 30 events had the possibility to learn from industry experts the importance of security, which is an imperative part of automation and sustainability, starting from little houses and ending with smart cities.
New KNX Secure devices to be released in 2019
After the presentation of the first KNX Secure devices at Light + Building 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany, KNX Association has taken matters into their own hands and actively tested new KNX Secure devices, which are scheduled to be released in 2019. Covering a broad range of KNX Data Secure as well as KNX IP Secure devices, KNX Association, together with its members, is soon ushering in a new era of security leading the way for the whole industry.
With the availability of KNX Secure devices, the implementation of the highest security standards has been simplified to an extreme: New installations can contain the newest KNX Secure devices. At the same time, existing KNX installations can easily be upgraded. This is thanks to the possibility that KNX Secure devices perfectly work together with all other 7000 certified KNX devices.
